Was driving through Totnes yesterday (mon 26 April) at about 1025 and saw Plymouth City Bus;
409 PN02 XCP along station road so guess it must have been on private hire!

Is the South West of England 2010 Datafile by HB Publications the best book for our region or does anyone know of any other companies that do the same sort of books that cover the south west.

Today I noticed a Citylink branded Volvo B10M with Plaxton Premiere bodywork, just outside of Sampford Peverell.
From what I gather the vehicle belongs to Spearings, and if so it is a relatively new acquisition to the fleet. Unfortunately I didn't get any details of the registration number, but if the opportunity arises I will try to get a few pictures of it.

EDIT
The Citylink liveried, Volvo B10M with Plaxton Premiere bodywork I saw was an Ex-Rapsons vehicle which Hookways have acquired from Ensign, Purfleet (dealer).

I can now confirm that 9880 HP is HK02. It was previously registered SF05 ZXL.

Looking through the BBC site this morning I came across this story which happened last night. Unfortunately there were 2 people killed and 47 injured. Reports say it was a local operators vehicle involved rather than a nationwide operator.

Not the best news for Christmas is it.

UPDATE

The vehicle involved in the accident was a Bova Futura belonging to Williams Travel of Cambourne.

Aye, it was moved down a few weeks ago now.
It's nothing unusual for Barnstaple to still be obtaining older vehicles considering SC has only been in Barnstaple for a few years now.
